Thank you for visiting Gorgeous Grooming - the dog shop.
Let me tell you my story, of how I decided to create my own business over 8 years ago...
In December 2009 for Christmas my husband bought me my first Dog who I decided to name Charlie,
I have always wanted to have my own dog so he is the best present I could ever have wished for!
After a few months Charlie my little cute West Highland Terrier wasn't white anymore so I decided to get his first groom booked in. After a few visits to different Groomers I never felt he was cut to the standard I had asked for. So I decided to book myself onto a Dog Grooming introduction course to see what it was all about. After researching endless evenings on the many different breeds and styles
I enrolled onto a City & Guilds Level 2 course which lasted over a 9 month period. In successfully completing the course, which I took a lot of satisfaction and pride from, it was time for Level 3!
Why stop there? I asked myself.
After passing the course with flying colours now was the time to start my own journey of setting up
my own dog grooming business which seemed daunting at the time, but I was extremely excited too.
So Charlie's Angels Dog Grooming was born - which was situated from my home studio in Draycott. Two years later I started to develop a strong customer base which was extremely rewarding.
My Charlie who passed away in August 2016, R.I.P missed but never forgotten xxxx
So I now felt it was time to move into my own shop and expand. As I was moving to Cheddar Gorge,
I felt it was time to change the business name to reflect where it was located and feel part of the
famous Cheddar landmark. So I decided to name it Gorgeous Grooming, offering a quality friendly
service with the capability of selling luxury clothing, toys and treats. My dream had come true to
have my own business in Cheddar Gorge.
So each day for the next few months, I went to work with Charlie beside me...sadly my Charlie passed away last year which was one of the saddest days of my life. I cannot explain the pain in losing my
Naturally going to work without my little Charlie seemed strange and empty, however, I started my business for Charlie and I ain't stopping now !
I have now closed my shop in Cheddar gorge due to the ongoing pandemic. I am now grooming from
my home in Wells.
I hope you enjoyed my story, please feel free to contact me for any grooming requirements.
